Strange behavior on time strings

Sorry if I missed this from the documentation of Mustache or YAML, but it seems like strange behavior to me (Mustache v1.1.1 installed from gem, Ubuntu 18.04):

$ echo "{{field}}" > template
$ echo "field: 5:42" | mustache - template
20520

Seems like 5:42 is treated as time and Mustache converts it to the number of seconds since the beginning of the day (20520 = 5 × 3600 + 42 × 60). Is this behavior expected?
