This copies nanoc-git into the nanoc repository.

With Git being a commonly used deployment strategy (for gh-pages most commonly), it does not make sense to have nanoc-git not be part of the standard Nanoc distribution.

This also

  • adds new tests
  • removes some of the implicit behavior
  • adds dedicated errors with better descriptions
