Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
In the add-on store, when you tab to the description field of an add-on, only the first line is currently read, and you need to manually have NVDA keep reading.
Describe the solution you'd like
Automatically read the whole contents of the description field, and the "Other details" field (for consistency).
Similar to a web page, the user can easily stop this if not required, or if the user was tabbing to get to the "Actions" button for instance, that next tab press would stop it as well, so it shouldn't negatively impact someone who doesn't need the whole description at that time. For many users they may not realise there IS more text in the description field, so this would help them.
Describe alternatives you've considered
I don't think an instruction to the user (eg telling them to use say all or arrows to read) would be useful here as a) it is just more information (but not what they were originally after, and in some cases, probably shorter than the full description), and b) we don't do it elsewhere so it would be inconsistent.
Additional context
Tested with NVDA 2024.1
The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:
This should be an optional setting to perform say all always when entering a multi-line edit control
