UIA in Word: braille is very redundant #8407
Comments
I could not reproduce the link issue mentioned in this issue. It was most likely fixed in a later version of Word 2016. |
However, The first problem mentioned in this issue is now addressed by pr #8569. |
Actually, the braille display will still show "Document1 - Word Document1 Document1 doc" after #8569 is merged. You just don't see it by default. I wonder what the root cause of this problem is and if it can be addressed. |
It sounds to me like there is something in the focus ancestry that should be treated as layout rather than content. This is also an issue with speech.
|
I agree this is a little annoying, but surely now with it panned to the
start of the textInfo region it is better?
also, the older implementation for Word wasn't too much better as far as
I can remember.
I could probably get rid of the middle one I guess, but the title of the
Window, and the name of the document itself should really stay as is.
