Hi,
first of all, after finding the relevant code location in the code I noticed someone else already reported this back in 2009: https://sourceforge.net/p/lxde/bugs/150/
All comments of this thread still apply to 0.2.4 in an unchanged way. Any chances on this one? I have to agree with the original OP that letting it crash through an assertion in GTK is IMHO not the nicest way to handle a invalid input.
