Describe the bug

osc.1 documents:

       usage:
           osc meta <prj|prjconf> [-r|--revision REV] ARGS...
           osc meta <prj|pkg|prjconf|user|group|pattern> ARGS...
           osc meta <prj|pkg|prjconf|user|group|pattern> [-m|--message TEXT] -e|--edit ARGS...
           osc meta <prj|pkg|prjconf|user|group|pattern> [-m|--message TEXT] -F|--file ARGS...

but -m+-F cannot be used; the option combination is rejected.

Versions

  • Operating system: openSUSE_Tumbleweed amd64 20240312
  • Packages: osc-1.6.1-1.1

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

$ osc meta pkg -m 'blah' -F 1.xml
options --revision and --message are only supported for the prj or prjconf subcommand

Expected behavior

  1. Don't tell me something about --revision, which was not even used.
  2. Let osc meta pkg -m blah -F somefile succeed.
