Right now the suggested way to install on a cPanel EasyInstall instance is to
build from source.

A lot of people have been confused and asking for an easier way. This might be
as simple as changing the paths we put files in.

See, for example:

I'd like to look into adding simple instructions for adding mod_pagespeed to
cPanel EasyInstall. Does anyone know if there is any documentation for adding
modules to EasyInstall? Or a mailing list/forum to go to to get more
information? Thanks.

Not sure if you're still looking for guidance on adding mod_pagespeed to
EasyApache but if you are this may help:

Here are a few other "tutorials in the wild":
-
http://aparnam.wordpress.com/2012/09/02/how-to-install-mod_pagespeed-on-centoscp
anel/
-
http://hasaninter.net/2012/04/13/installing-mod_pagespeed-on-a-cpanelwhm-server/

But, really.. We need to do the proper cpanel package (linked above by
nikalus), which appears to be a glorified perl script installer.

Ilya -- is this fixed now? I thought some progress was made on a cPanel
integration.

Ilya do you think you could add this to the FAQ? See
