As I mentioned to both Pierre and Felix via email, I think that it would be great if Lunettes supported aliases. Right now, Lunettes is very limited by the fact that it only recognizes media files that are placed in the default location in the "Movies" folder. This is very unMac-like.

Different storage places are supported now. Following file system links would still make sense of course.

Hello Felix. Thanks for your comment. Yes, I am aware of this development. Being able to specify folders to be scanned is definitely an improvement. The next step in this process, in my view, would be to make it possible for Lunettes to display folders and videos in a multi-column view, as with the Mac Finder. In other words, instead of displaying a long list of videos in Lunettes main window, it would display their enclosing folders. Clicking on one of those folders in the list will in turn display the contents of that folder in the next column to the right, as with the Finder.

This is something we can't support easily. Note, we don't want to exactly mimic the Finder. Else the Finder is here and easy to use with Lunettes :)
