The p2p database can write records as well as read them.

edit an existing db (working on a fork) or create a new db with peermaps as a background layer
click on any feature to toggle its points for editing
button to create a new feature
edit in different formats (packed georender vs osm json or xml vs other formats (3d perhaps eventually))

Different edit formats might require very different UIs.
