Has Phalcon development stopped?

No news since January, almost no activity on the repo...
Has Phalcon project been abandoned or are the developers very busy on other projects?

I don't think so. You can check the latest blog post of the team here. This is the repository for eventually next version that would be in pure PHP which maybe explains lack of much activity.

Phalcon have come a long way back into the very roots of it's existence - PHP.
Does that mean that core PHP improved? Yes! A lot. And Phalcon is a great fw. Always has been.

Busy with life, holidays, other stuff going on. We are still developing as much as we can.

There are two initiatives that are going on at the same time. First cphalcon and support there and then the phalcon repository, translating the Zephir code to PHP. Slow process but it is moving along. The latest thing we are tackling on that is the Mvc namespace and there is a lot of code there.

Thanks Niden for the feedback, I'm now comfortable starting a brand new project using Phalcon!
