Unable to update Phonegap CLI #824

8.2.2 to 9.0

I tried updating my Phonegap CLI from 8.2.2 to 9.0.0 by typing npm install -g phonegap

I get an error stating Unexpected end of JSON while parsing near '...ll'

I will like to know if anyone was able to successfully upgrade their Phonegap-CLI from 8.2.2 to 9.0
