Many headers lost when gzip is done

Whenever a gzip is done successfully, important headers are lost, such as content-type, etag, and last-modified. I believe it is because of this line:

$res->content( Mojo::Content::Single->new );

It seems like this line intends to fix this issue, but it doesn't seem to be working:

res->fix_headers;
