Trouble using Select_Rho_partial

When I use my entire data set which Is a number of control and treatment types everything runs smooth. When I try to subset my data set (ie 4 control columns vs 4 treatment) my Non partial correlation works fine but then “select_rho_partial()” gives the error using the exact same objects......

Error in var(data) %*% theta : non-conformable arguments

If on the other hand I trim my number of genes and use all controls and treatment groups (of which there are several),
select_Rho_partial works fine.

If Anyone could help with this I would be eternally grateful!
