It seems that the test suite fails if perl is compiled with longdouble support:

#   Failed test 'only one box was used'
#   at t/09_calc_stacking2.t line 37.
#          got: '2'
#     expected: '1'
# Looks like you failed 1 test of 3.
t/09_calc_stacking2.t ..... 
Dubious, test returned 1 (wstat 256, 0x100)
Failed 1/3 subtests
