Need sample to parameterize service

Hi Team,

I am new to shell script and this framework, require a sample code to just parameterize the services and check if the service is running or not. Here is a reference code, can you please provide the syntax in the BDD format and that would be very helpful

checking for installed service

As this wonderful framework is very heavily tech-focused, it's actually a TTD framework (in the same way as RSpec - and for the same reason, hence its name :-) ), It is possible, but not very realistic, to express it in a truly BBD form - consider the representation of your above tests in the following 2 scenarios ...

Scenario Outline:
  Given I have a service
  When I check the "<state type>" of the service
  Then I expect the service to be "<state>"

  Examples:
    | state type   | state     |
    | installation | installed |
    | run          | running   |    

Since the consumer is concerned only with the end-user functionality that the service provides when running, neither of the above could be considered to be consumer-facing behaviours. Note that, from a consumer PoV, the author would typically have coalesced the above into either an extra Given or a Background step in the grander scheme of things - the following 2 examples are equivalent...

Background:  the service is up & running

Scenario:
  Given I want to test some functionality
  When I trigger the functionality
  Then I expect the functionality to be correct

Scenario:
  Given the service is up & running
  And I want to test some functionality of the service
  When I trigger the functionality
  Then I expect the functionality to be correct

@SunilSharma1986 - it's not at all clear what you're after - you need to be clear if it's to ...

• take the above tests & rewrite them in shellspec format and incorporate the result into a replacement script or ...
• test the script that contains the above code.
