My phone is gapps free and for good reason as we all know by now. Google is useful for some things except on my phone. How come redphone has no dependancy on gapps, yet textsecure does?

Duplicate of #1017 #1106 #127 and probably others...

The problem is that Textsecure needs the google sevices to deliver the push messages. A Websocket implementation as an alternative (with the downside of higher battery usage) is already in development: #1000 and #1960

ihello To hall,
i consider your programs Incredible. But if i have all gapps, Google Can insert spyware on My Smart Phone? They can enter by The Windows ????? if so It Will be Not safe living in The five country Close To NSA. how can consider' safe My Android? ???

Well, at least a Google account on the phone is not required to get the latest apk. Raccoon (http://www.onyxbits.de/raccoon) will let you download it directly from Google with any throwaway Google account.
