I have been programming since 1984, when I was ten years old. It started with typing in listings from magazines and saving them on cassette tapes.

BBC Micro Model B, ZX Spectrum 48K, Commodore 64, then PCs and video consoles. I worked for 18 years in the videogames industry, at Psygnosis, Electronic Arts, Roadhouse Interactive and DeNA Vancouver. Using C, C++, Perl, Python, Ruby, Java, C# and more on PlayStation, XBOX, GameCube, PC, Mac, Linux, Android and iOS. Then Tizen, Sailfish OS, Ubuntu Touch and Firefox OS on my own time.

Then 4+ years of blockchain, mainly Ethereum, but also Enterprise Ethereum and more recently Ethereum Classic. Working with the Ethereum Foundation, Hyperledger, ConsenSys, EEA, Sweetbridge, Quantfury, and now ETC Cooperative.

My desired future state? I would like to live a life like Manfred Macx, the Venture Altruist from the Accelerando novel, where I gift my creations to the world, entirely free of economic incentives.
