This release provides support for overlapping speakers in Transcriber files, creating a separate line for each speaker in the Toolbox file, along with the correct overlap in timecodes. Up to 5 overlapping speakers are currently supported. Additionally, if names of speakers are provided, these names are used in the participant field. This version also re-writes TRS files to deal with misplaced carriage returns.

This release deprecates the configuration file. Instead, users are requested to input their Toolbox tags in order to create a 'CONFIG' file which the program subsequently uses as input. To reset the tags, simply delete the 'CONFIG' file.

trs2txt-1.1

This release of 'trs2txt' updates the .cfg file, Python script, and Windows .exe file to be more cross-platform friendly. The earlier configuration file use Unix-style line breaks, which meant it was rather hard to edit on a Windows machine using Notepad. This version addresses the problem by making the Windows line breaks the default, and the Python script should now be able to handle either format of line breaks without a problem.

trs2txt-1.0

This release of 'trs2txt' includes a Windows .exe file (compiled by PyInstaller: http://www.pyinstaller.org/) and a cross-platform Python script as well as a configuration file.

This program is intended to convert files created by Transcriber 1.5.1 (http://sourceforge.net/projects/trans/files/transcriber/1.5.1/) into files that can be read by Toolbox (http://www-01.sil.org/computing/toolbox/).

Configuration as per your normal setup, and some manual text editing may be necessary for your individual case. See the README.txt file for more details.
