Yep that sure would be nice. Problem arise when you build binaries using a different method that depend on stuff you've installed using Cygwin's methods. Anyway, this is true for anything, so isn't really an issue.

Sorry to leave a message here for this question - I saw the README.md said the project lost its only active maintainer. Was that only active maintainer @svnpenn or @transcode-open ? In other words, is the fork sage the new active fork?
