Only the left half of a lessons video thumbnail is visible.
When the lesson video is opened while the iPhone is in landscape orientation.

Steps to reproduce

  • Open the Unwrap app.
  • Tap on the Learn button at the bottom left.
  • Open a lesson, for example the first: Simple types: Variables
  • Rotate the iPhone to landscape orientation.
  • Tap on the lesson video thumbnail.
  • Close the video by tapping the top left X.

Expected behavior

The whole lesson video thumbnail should be visible. Just like it was shown before the video was opened.

Actual behavior

Only the left half of the video thumbnail is visible.

Notes

The video thumbnail can be restored to the expected size, by rotating the iPhone to portrait orientation before opening and closing the video.

Environment

  • Unwrap app version: 1.5 (most likely, see the next section below)
  • iOS version: 14.7.1 (18G82)
  • Device: iPhone X

How to find the Unwrap app's version number?

It's not clear how to find the app's version number.

Maybe it could be added to:
Home > Help > About this app

Or if it should be more visible, then there seems to be an empty area at the top left on the Home Screen.

The current method for finding the version number, seems to be:

  • Open the App Store
  • Search for Unwrap
  • Tap on the search result: Unwrap
    Learn coding with swift
  • The app's latest version number is under the heading: What's new

If the button in the middle at the top of the app page says: open

Then the latest version is installed.

But if the button says: update
then I don't know how to find the currently installed version.

But the app should probably be updated, and an issue that's being reported should be retested with the latest version.
