Under some circumstances, Photoshop can fire:

Error Number: 9002 unable to create folder , permission denied, please create it manually and run this script again.

On Windows, this should be solved running Photoshop as administrator (right click on the PS icon, "Run As Administrator").

On Mac, this is in my experience a very recent issue, that oftentimes may, or may not, appear. My educated guess is that it depends on file permissions issues – I'd suggest permission repair, but I'm not sure it will work. OSX is known to have royally screwed user permissions when upgrading to a newer version (e.g. Mavericks to El Capitan).

Some users have reported that the error fires even if the Folder it refers is actually created.

If nothing works – and if you find out a solution please report here – what the popup dialog says it will do the trick: create manually the folder and run again. I know, hard to tell this to customers, we're in the same boat here.

Thank you,

Davide
