It would be cool if we would have a fast preview of the needuml / needarch during authoring.
Solution Idea: Could we have the meta model form needs.json in the memory to pre-render the output?

Update: Moved this issue from the Sphinx-Needs repo.
I think your change is for the VS Code support via esbonio. This was removed from Sphinx-Needs and is now a dedicated repo: https://github.com/useblocks/sphinx-needs-vscode
But I guess it should be doable, based on a given needs.json.
