This is the real world problem, I spent 25 minutes of my life to get, what HTML code mean "space" in languages list. It is really hard to understand how to exclude something like "Jupyter Notebook" or "Common Lisp" (languages with space between words). And there are no mention in your readme.
Alternatively you can add somenthing like: "%20 - is space".
P.S. Hope I helped. You don't have HowToSuggest rules, so I decided not to pull request, just wrote this issue.

Please, edit this:
- A comma separated list of languages to exclude, e.g., exclude=java,rust,jupyter%20notebook
to README.md in 73 and 86 lines.
