Member kjeldebu reports consistent problems with the WS app (new from app store) on iOS 6.1.2

"My iPad app keeps asking me for login and doesn't want to work without it.
When i fill in the login & password, the login pop-up reappears after a few
seconds."

"Uninstalling and reinstalling the app is what I tried, but it didn't make a difference. After half an hour it suddenly decided to work again. Is it possible it is linked to login on the website, because I continued searching for hosts on the website. "

Here's the behavior:

  • Open app
  • get login pop-up
  • can't login, pop-up keeps coming back
  • click on sign up
  • safari opens
  • go back to ws app
  • login

I am able to replicate this. Using version 3.4 (351) on iOS 6.1.2 on my iPad2.

I also don't know why you get the "login popup" when opening the app - mine stays logged in. I never have to log in. However, I tried logging out then killing the process to replicate this. I also tried logging out, then powering off the iPad, powering up, and logging in again. I logged into the website using the same account while the app was running.

@Kjeldebu, you'll probably have to give us more hints about how to replicate. It would be great if you could try it on somebody else's iOS device, too.

@rfay I will take a look in the near future. I had this happen once to me but was never able to reproduce it.

I had the problem today on my iPhone. I think the problem is related to the device switching between being online and offline. I'll dig into it.

I haven't been able to reproduce this problem in my development environment yet. To the next person who reproduces this problem: Can you confirm if the message "Invalid Login!" briefly appears before the login prompt reappears?

"Unfortunately", over the past 24h my app seems to work fine. I've also tried on my brother iPod touch. Seems to work fine. I'll leave it for a few days without logging in to website or app and see What it gives as result by Wednesday or Thursday.

Great, though I haven't had any problems with it. Good work and thanks again for offering such a good platform to cyclists!

Cheers!
