Bug report

Describe the bug

Here is a clear and concise description of what the problem is:

I have Kodi (21.0.0) installed on my chromecast 4k.
After power off and power on chromecast, I activate kodi, kodi is running with a spinning wheel. I escape the spinning wheel with the back key, and there is no sound.

Before the upgrade to 21 it worked perfectly on 20.5 and before.

Expected Behavior

Here is a clear and concise description of what was expected to happen:

Kodi should start normally with sound and no spinning wheel. (screen that was last opened)

Actual Behavior

After power off (kodi not closed) and power on chromecast (host), I activate kodi, kodi is running with a spinning wheel. I escape the spinning wheel with the back key, and there is no sound.

Possible Fix

Not a fix but a workaround:

There are several workarounds to get the sound back:

  1. restart kodi
  2. unplug HDMI (chromecast) and put it back in TV.
  3. Cycle power (off/on) of the TV.
  4. Toggle some audio settings. (several possible, I used Output configuration fixed/best-match).
    ...

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Power off the host (in my case Chromecast 4k)
  2. Switch it back on
  3. Start kodi (app) and kodi starts where it left off but with a spinning wheel and no sound.
