😟 There are some issues with your submission.

1 test failed

philippine-journal-of-natural-sciences: must validate against the CSL 1.0.1 schema
Please check your style at http://validator.citationstyles.org/

expected `[[13, "13:0: ERROR: Invalid attribute field for element category"], [0, "ERROR: Extra element categor...Did not expect element locale there"], [18, "18:0: ERROR: Element style has extra content: locale"]].empty?` to be truthy, got false

Please check the test report for details.

This citation style adopts the latest CSE manual (author-date) but there may be slight variations

Update: I've also tried editing the CSL of CSE Manual (author-date) since the journal is based on this manual. The [Internet] and "cited" date is also inserted in Zotero as long as the option to includes URLs is checked. This solves the problem for online journals but not for online books, since the date cannot be transferred before the "[cited]" portion.

Here is a sample citation of journal generated from the CSL:

Bhowmick R, Clark S, Bonventre JV, Leong JM, McCormick BA. 2017. Cytosolic Phospholipase A2α Promotes Pulmonary Inflammation and Systemic Disease during Streptococcus pneumoniae Infection. Freitag NE, editor. Infect Immun [Internet]. [cited 2024 Mar 11]; 85(11):e00280-17. Available from: https://doi.org/10.1128/IAI.00280-17.

Attached herewith is the CSL I edited compressed in ZIP.

Feel free to respond or contact me if there are any changes esp. for online book bibliography. Thank you.

What's the purpose of this?
I've made a style, hence this PR. Why would you start all over again?

My apologies. I failed to see that there is already a csl file on my end so just thought of sharing the file I edited before for my project. Is there a way for me to suggest some changes to the csl file to be addressed? if yes here are some.

Provided below is a sample citation from the CSL you made and mine.

In an online jounal, DOI: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.ijppaw.2014.06.001

  1. The variable "access" does seem to refer to the URL/DOI instead of the accessed date. I don't know which is correct because on CSE manual's CSL (since the journal is basically almost similar to it), access is synonynous with the accessed date. online journals and online books need to have those based on the format.

In my case, the macro "access" is

  1. Remove space after ":" before the page number/s.
  2. Online books have different format where date published is before the "[cited]". (i.e. 1998 [cited 2024 Mar 18].)
See author's guide for refeference https://pjns.upv.edu.ph/authors-guide/#:~:text=RMRS%2DGTR%2D123.-,ELECTRONIC%20BOOK,-Rollin%2C%20BE.%20The

That's all, thank you.
