Async/Await adaptation?

Hi, my question is:

How would it work if you adapt to promises in NodeJS?

I should do so in the core code - I agree, it's a bit old code by now... I could improve on the interface quite a lot I believe. But I dislike many other details as well, so it would probably lead to a longer project which I don't feel I have time for right now, but could have in the near future due to what we are working with at my day to day work.

I keep this open to remind me and to tell you when, if I do, make such an update.
