my password was no longer accepted on remote server after update

Immediately after update, I could no longer access the remote ssh server via vscode. RDC and VNC continue to work properly with the password, but VSCode is not continuing after I enter the password. As much as I have enjoyed working with VSCode, this has hampered my development for several days and I'm about to abandon this part of the development with this product.
