I have set the clock frequency to 16 MHz in the mikroC compiler. I have also used a 16 MHz crystal oscillator in the hardware circuit. However, I had to modify the wiring between the microcontroller and the LCD display because they were not compatible. I also adjusted the sbit values in the code to match the new connections.
