So, I've been imagining several emergency situations that I could get into. In some of these emergency cases, I can have enough time to access the app and send out an SOS message. But, I also imagined situations where there wouldn't enough time to access the app and tap on the trigger button. Such a case would probably be a robbery case.
To solve this problem, I synced the app to a gesture on my phone. Double tapping on my homescreen launches the app. But, getting into the app is one thing, tapping on the trigger is another. If I'm not so smart, I could be caught by the people who are robbing and that would be fatal.
So my suggestion is;
Implement the gesture; Shake to trigger.
If this option is enabled, I wouldn't have to tap on the trigger button.
To make this feature consistent with the other feature I suggested about contacts grouping, which will consequently see the inclusion of other trigger buttons; this gesture would ultimately trigger the general group. Meaning you will send an SOS to every contact you have predefined on the app.
Lemme know what you think of this suggestion.

This seems to be another great feature. Could you explain what exactly the trigger should do?
As far as I understood a shake should trigger the general group. But my question is: Has the app to be open or should you can trigger on the homescreen also?
If you meant the second, I could imagine that there will be false positives. For example: Your phone is in your pocket and a step could be interpreted as a shake to the app. In this case I have to implement a notification that tells the user that the app is about to trigger in e.g. 5 seconds.
I didn't quite think of a possibility where the app can be trigger from the homescreen. But, if it possible, that would be great.
Also, another thought just popped up in my head.
The efficiency of this app would be felt in being able to use the trigger as possible. Especially in emergency cases like I explained above. What if you developed widgets that users can add to their homescreen. This way, they don't have to open the app. As soon as they tap on the widget, the trigger is activated.
Hi. I'm here with another feature request.
