The more we add to the map, it seems like it would be nice if you could do a search for keywords. If I'm looking for a specific event right now, it can be hard to find without knowing the precise date. You have to awkwardly navigate to when you think that event happened relative to the rest and slide around until you find the event. Filters only help a little with this and aren't really meant for this. OR if you happen to know the location of the event (and it's a clickable location) you can go that route... Either way, there's no elegant way to find a particular event that you may know a few keywords for.

I don't know about technical feasibility, but what I imagine is a magnifying glass button somewhere on the screen that opens a search window or sidebar. Type some search terms and it pulls up a list of events, locations, characters, etc. that contain those terms. Preferably there's a preview of the relevant text and the title of the item, so you can see if it's what you're looking for. Clicking a search result selects that item. (so for events it moves the timeline to select that event, for a location it focuses the screen on that location... for everything it pulls up the left sidebar)

Preferably you can filter by type. (events, locations, characters) Bonus points if you can also use tags to filter.
