I think this might take the form of a Kanban model with three fields: (1) acquisition, (2) award status, and (3) days. The days field is the total number of days at that status.
Each status can have an expected number of days and, if we want, a WIP limit.
I'm not sure yet how to calculate the days field, but perhaps it's a management command that runs daily and adds 1 to the current award status for that acquisition.
