I am trying to do homework 3 but will creating a directory it will not show when i tree packages.

You have an issue with your Dockerfile. The arg "REPO_NAME" in the Dockerfile should not include < or > which are included in yours as the screenshot you provided shows. edit your Dockerfile, correct the issue and then rebuild the image and start the docker container and the issue should be resolved.
