Selection is basically invisible on dark backgrounds

Completely invisible on a black background.

Should do what mspaint does in Win95/98, which I didn't see before, just looking at screenshots:

(Although mspaint doesn't really make the handles visible on a dark background...)

@1j01 just a clarification. Does the MS paint selection actually draws the white space?

Yeah. I originally thought it inverted the color underneath the dashes, and I think later versions might do that, but in 95/98 it draws alternating white and black dashes.
