Need to be able to specify a selection to prune volumetric data by. This should extract out the relevant subbox (to use as little memory as possible) and then, if selection is specified with atom center, carve out the right shape by setting values to infinities/nan.

Ideally we can figure out a way to include a selection object in this specification instead of centers.
