BTW the sooner the better. We'll have to announce a couple hours of downtime while they transfer everything, and hopefully the DNS records can propagate during that time. But I've gone through and cleaned up any wasted disk space (@amcnamara, that's why the mongo backups are gone - I copied them to my computer first) to speed up the transfer, and afaik we're good to go whenever. |
Paging @dbyrne...I don't want to be in Fremont next time someone DDOS's that datacenter. |
@amalloy Hey sorry for the slow response. Tonight I'll delete my credit card information and send you the account login details. |
Didn't hear from you yesterday, @dbyrne. Just a reminder. |
Closing this because I've made @amalloy an account exec. Let me know if you have problems logging in. |
Linode's Fremont datacenter has been flaky on occasion, but recently is a complete mess. I've put in a request to move to Dallas, which they're fine with, but we'll need to change IP addresses and probably have some downtime while the transfer happens. @dbyrne, can I have the keys to the DNS settings, so that I can do this whenever the transfer happens without having to sync up with you?
