Support for the NuXT motherboard?

Has anybody tested GLaBIOS with the NuXT motherboard yet? It's an open-source design for an 8088/V20 motherboard with switchable clock speeds.

I don't believe anyone has reported using one yet. GLaBIOS has support for the Faraday FE2010A chipset which the NuXT uses, so that should work fine.

Here's are the links for the 0.2.0-beta 8088 and V20 builds.

Note: this is an 8 KiB BIOS so the image will need be written to the Flash ROM to be at the last 8KiB starting at F000:E000.

Would be more than happy to help with custom and testing builds for it, so just let me know what you need.

I don't have a NuXT myself (yet). Just wanted to get a conversation going between these two amazing projects. But hopefully some NuXT owners will chime in here. 🙂

@volkertb we have successfully tested these on micro_8088 boards so it should ready to test on NuXT. The links in the previous comment have been updated for the new Flash images.

We can include Multi-Floppy BIOS in a future image as well, once we know this is going to work.

@volkertb I do now have a NuXT board and have it running with GLaBIOS smoothly. Did you end up getting one yet yourself?

I also flashed now GlaBIOS on my NuXT v2.0 :-) Works very good.

I have not. As much as I would like to play with one, I already have so many other projects I'd like to work on first.

I think that NuXT/micro_8088 will be an ongoing supported platform so yes, this ticket has served it's purpose. I don't know if, how (or who would) to certify it necessarily but we'll just keep working on it and get more testers and see how good we can get it.
