BioShock Infinite is a first-person shooter video game developed by Irrational Games and published by 2K Games. It is the third installment in the BioShock series, and was released worldwide for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 platforms in March 2013. Set in 1912, the game follows Booker DeWitt, a disgraced former agent of the Pinkerton National Detective Agency, who is hired by a mysterious benefactor to rescue Elizabeth, a young woman imprisoned in the flying city of Columbia since childhood. Booker develops a relationship with Elizabeth, augmenting his abilities with hers so they may escape from a city that is literally falling from the sky.
