With the recent removal of Lua in place for AngelScript, it's no longer a case of "hehe let's copy other people's solutions" but instead "WHAT DO WE DO??!!".
I'm thinking of taking inspiration from valve's VScript, but even then we're quite different (Source/Bube) and I've never used VScript.

After some research (L4D2 VScript Examples) this depends on #3.

Debateable. It'd certainly make it easier to have a 1:1 recreation, but is that what we want? Source is cool but I don't want to be yet another clone of it.
Ideally, we'd use Source as a reference for the kinds of things we want possible, and then build from there.
