Hi folks, very interesting project and initiative.
Found your implementation when was looking for a client/SDK for some robot arm, found it very easy to read.
First, I think you may be interested in pylabrobot project that recently started seeing some adoption. They provide resource model and nice async-based interface to control labware.
They focus on liquid handling (i.e. overlaps with OT2 driver you wrote), but programming model is very flexible.
They expressed interest in integrating some robot arm, and I think PF400 is a great candidate - so consider joining efforts. Pylabrobot has a community which is likely to be interested in adopting your drivers/tools.
FYI I'm writing as a potential user of python-based drivers for lab automation, I am not affiliated with pylabrobot. Just I'm very interested in having more open tools for automation. Majority of tools fails to get sufficient community traction to ensure long-term development.
