The point class table for point records 6-10 shows that values 32-63 are reserved for ASPRS. The domain profile instructions say that point class values must start over 39. Are these meant to overlap? Is the range from 40-63 reserved for domain profiles to be approved by ASPRS? Would a domain profile using values over 63 (the user defined range) be inappropriate? I'm just looking for a little clarity in the hopes of promoting the use of domain profiles. I suggest explicitly saying that domain profiles should use the range of 40-63 for their point classes.

I always assumed that the LDPs would utilize that reserved range of 32-63. I have no insight into why the instructions would cover the 40-63 range.

Maybe @parrishOSU @lgraham-geocue remember?
