I noticed that the shadows of exterior objects that got baked were almost invisible on grass and other materials. The cause of this is probably a environment lighting value in blender that is too high. The attached image shows two different lightmaps of the same scene. On the left side you can see a floor without a ceiling and on the right side you can see a floor with a ceiling. !lightmaps.JPG!
