I've gotten Waybar working with my river setup, but I have found that including "river/tags" as a module in my config file will cause it to fail. Here is my configuration file that works: working.config.txt
Here is my configuration that fails: problem.config.txt
Here is diff working.config.txt problem.config.txt:
config_diff.txt

The output given by Waybar is as follows:

** (waybar:2294): WARNING **: 09:05:29.305: gtk-layer-shell v0.6.0 may not work on GTK v3.24.30. If you experience crashes, check https://github.com/wmww/gtk-layer-shell/blob/master/compatibility.md
Gdk-Message: 09:05:29.305: Error 88 (Socket operation on non-socket) dispatching to Wayland display.

Please let me know if any additional information would be helpful here.

This is just a problem with the Arch Linux package. The AUR version works.
