Thanks for this, awesome work! Amusingly fits with my exact use case, watching the Olympics via CBC… I just learned about streamlink and don't super see the benefit, since I use mpv – that player already (by way of yt-dlp) supports opening cbc.ca links for livestreaming via the mpv command line tool – but this definitely will help users on other players, and makes it easier to specify a proxy rather than having to go through my fanangled-together bespoke command using proxychains-ng too. The cbc-sl --list printout/option is pretty great!
By the way, mpv does support seeking in streams even when launched via streamlink, as long as the --cache option is specified in the config file.
If you want me to send an arm64 binary for macOS (M1/Apple Silicon architecture) to host on the releases page, just let me know.
