Describe the bug
When I click one of the deep links on https://github.com/AndBible/and-bible/wiki/Bible-links the book and chapter do not open. Instead, a new window is created within AndBible with a duplicate of the currently open book and chapter.

AndBible version
Issue was found first on the latest 1 Feb 2024 Play Store version and then reproduced on Version 5.0.801 from F-Droid.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Open AndBible for the first time. It opens to Genesis 1:1.
  2. Click on deep link https://read.andbible.org/1Sam.1.2
  3. AndBible opens showing two windows both at Genesis 1:1

Expected behavior
Expected that AndBible would open one window with 1 Samuel 1:2.

Smartphone (please complete the following information):

  • Device: Samsung Galaxy A32
  • OS: Android
  • Version 11

Additional context
I started the app with the easy start option.
I tried changing the "Links window" setting within Application preferences but that didn't seem to change anything.
I tried clicking all the read.andbible.org links on https://github.com/AndBible/and-bible/wiki/Bible-links. (the stepbible.org links opened in the browser and the bible.com links opened in YouVersion)
