Android Qではジェスチャーベースのナビゲーションが新しく追加されます。
また、より没入感のあるUXを提供するために、フルスクリーンでアプリを描画することが推奨されるようです。

こういった新しい環境に適応したアプリを作るためにWindowInsetsをどう使ったらいいのか、が説明されています
