As in title. OSX standalone - upgrading removes presets, settings and downloaded models (because its overriding whole .app file where data is stored). It's not big issue but can be depending on number of future upgrades.
If possible please use subfolder of Application Support folder for it.

Also additional if not for backup purposes: where are the settings stored?

Go into the "Ultimate Vocal Remover.app/Contents/Resources" directory and copy the following directories for back-up -

  • models
  • gui_data/saved_ensembles
  • gui_data/saved_settings

And if you want the settings that were saved from the last time you closed the app, save this file -

  • Ultimate Vocal Remover.app/Contents/MacOS/data.pkl

I'll address this for future updates so you don't have to do this every time. For right now, this is the way to keep your settings.
