Checklist

  • I have used the search function for open and closed issues to see if someone else has already submitted the same bug report.
  • I will describe the problem with as much detail as possible.
  • If the bug only to occurs with a certain podcast, I will include the URL of that podcast.

App version

2.7.1

Where did you get the app from

F-Droid

Android version

11

Device model

OnePlus 6T

First occurred

Steps to reproduce

  1. Make sure "Skip Silence in Audio" setting is ON.
  2. Plug phone into Android Auto.
  3. Note time on podcast. (For example, 00:00 = fresh episode.)
  4. Press play.
  5. Watch as time displayed on phone + Android Auto slowly fall out of sync.

Expected behaviour

If phone displays 01:30 in podcast:

  • Android Auto should display exact same time as well.

Current behaviour

Phone displays 01:30, but:

  • Android Auto displays the wall clock (not taking into account Skip Silence).

(In this case, Android Auto may be showing 01:00 into the episode, while the phone correctly shows the actual podcast time.)
