Shouldn't the Linux binaries in the KDE and GTK folders be put under a main folder named Linux.

Hmm I don't know. @375gnu @eyvallah what do you think? And what about future Qt versions?

So I see two ways that the files can be organized, taking into account future releases using the Qt frontend.

Frontend first (as it is now):

  • gtk
  • kde
  • osx
  • qt
    • linux
    • osx
    • win
  • src
  • win

or operating system first:

  • linux
    • gtk
    • kde
    • qt
  • osx
    • native
    • qt
  • win
    • native
    • qt

The problem with the latter is that I don't know where the src directory would go. The files in there contain actual source code, but some of them also contain OS-specific files (e.g. Windows batch files).

Also, someone needs to add more Mac and Linux binaries.

Though I know the source code for the Linux version of 1.08 is here.
The source code would be in its own directory split up into Win, Mac, and Linux.

I meant more recent Mac and Linux binaries (1.6.x), but I'll look there.

Celestia for Android being added further complicates things...
