Contents of a package built using setuptools < 3.3. (Showing one module only)

archipel-agent-nightly /usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/archipel_agent-0.6.0beta-py2.7.egg-info/
archipel-agent-nightly /usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/archipel_agent-0.6.0beta-py2.7.egg-info/PKG-INFO

archipel-agent-nightly /usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/archipel_agent-0.6.0beta-py2.7.egg-info/requires.txt
archipel-agent-nightly /usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/archipel_agent-0.6.0beta-py2.7.egg-info/top_level.txt

Contents of a package built using setuptools>= 3.0:

archipel-agent-git /usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/archipel_agent-0.6.0-py2.7.egg-info

This makes Archipel lack any module, so essentially you are not able to do anything more than start and stop VMs.

Setuptools 3.3 was published on 2014-03-16.

Looks like setuptools 3.4 resolves the problem. It was published a few days ago.
